Every golfer enjoys a bit of friendly competition on the course, and Links League is here to enhance that experience with its unique on-course games feature. Here’s a look at the games you can play directly on our app:
Stroke Play: This traditional golf format involves playing with the goal of completing the course in the fewest total strokes. All players are competing against one another, but it’s really about you against the course.
Match Play: In Match Play, the game is played hole by hole. If you win a hole (i.e., take fewer strokes than your opponent), you’re up by one. If you lose, you’re down by one. The player who wins the most holes, wins the game. It’s a thrilling, moment-to-moment kind of match.
Skins: Skins golf is a type of match play where each hole is worth a certain amount, called a ‘skin’. If you win a hole outright, you get a skin. However, if the hole is tied, the skin carries over to the next hole, making it worth two skins, and so on. This game can lead to exciting swings in scoring!
High Low: An engaging team game played in pairs, with each player playing their own ball. Each hole offers two points: one for the ‘low ball’ (the lowest score from each pair) and another for the ‘high ball’ (the highest score from each pair). It’s a strategic, collaborative game that encourages teamwork and an understanding of your partner’s playstyle.
One of the best features of these on-course games is that they are all handicap adjusted. This means they are as fair as possible and allow golfers of different skill levels to compete on an even playing field. So, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a golf newbie, these games offer fun, competition, and a chance to show your skills!
